The impetus to complete the long-planned City of Longmont’s Dickens Farm Nature Area was spurred by the 2013 floods that devastated the area. The new nature area provides access to St. Vrain Creek and a trail system for recreational purposes. Several Poligon Northern Skyline shelters provide shade opportunities along the trail system and a large group shelter provides a centralized area for gatherings.
